G Charlton & Son
The present company of George Charlton & Sons was formed in 1946 by George who had been in the fruit business since 1905. His son Harold then ran the business from 1947 and grandson Philip took over in 1972. It is currently being run by his great grandson Sean. The fruit grown is top fruit (mainly Gala and Bramley) and soft fruit (table top strawberries under cover).
